Bone Broth, staple of my diet

I have been drinking bone broth almost daily for almost 5 years now.  I feel that it has had the most positive impact upon my personal health compared to all the other components of my diet and supplement intake.  If I could recommend one addition to everyone's dietary food regimen it would be the addition of bone broth.  It is rather easy to make and can lighten your grocery bills a bit.  Instead of actually giving you a recipe I will just provide you with some suggestions on how to source your broth ingredients and make it taste good. A good broth starts with a good base, which is the bones.  I source my bones from local meat processors or...

Easy Paleo Breakfast

I am always looking for ways to spice up my morning breakfasts but still have them be quick and easy to prepare.  I don't know why I put this combo together but I did and it is really wonderful and full of healthy fats and protein.  And it only takes a few minutes to prepare. Super Coffee! (Paleo Latte)

If you haven't heard FAT is making a comeback.  It has been demonized for quite some time now.  But many mainstream doctors and health bloggers are now beginning to praise the benefits of a high fat diet.  Putting fats into coffee helps the caffeine release must slower.  This allows your not to have the coffee jitters and late morning coffee crash.  There are a lot of recipes for various coffee treats on the web but here is mine. You will need: Blender 12 oz coffee 1 Egg 2 Tbsp Honey 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil 1 Tbsp Grass Fed Butter 1 tsp Cinnamon 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract People are usually an egg in your coffee?  Are you nuts, that is gross!...

Pulled Pork and Veggie Slaw

I used to smoke most of my pulled pork but now I just use a crock pot.  I think they taste much better this way and it is much easier.  For the pulled pork you will need: 4-5 lb Pork Shoulder 1 Onion (small dice) 1 Garlic Clove (minced) 2 Tbsp Salt 1.5 Tbsp Paprika 1 tsp Garlic Powder 1 tsp Onion Powder 1/2 tsp Thyme 1/2 tsp Oregano 1/2 tsp Cinnamon 1/4 tsp Chili Powder 1/4 tsp Cumin 1/4 tsp Cayenne 1/4 Cup Red Wine Vinegar 1/4 Cup Honey 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup 3 Tbsp Butter Place onion in the bottom of your crock pot.  Place pork shoulder on top of onions.  Add all of the spices, garlic, vinegar,...
