Brain Boosting Breakfast Bowl

We've all heard the old adage that "breakfast is the most important meal of the day," but what you eat for breakfast is just as important (or more)! The ingredients of this breakfast bowl are specifically chosen to help with focus, brain health, and productivity so you can start your day with some serious brain fuel. And of course, it's just as delicious as it is practical!

Greek Yogurt: Protein helps keep you full while probiotics make for a healthy gut (and the gut is closely linked to the brain!)

Berries: Deeply colored berries like blueberries are full of anthocyanins, which have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. These effects can protect against conditions that lead to brain aging, memory loss, and neurodegenerative diseases and can even help brain cells communicate with each other.

Ona Bars: Full of healthy fats from nuts and coconut oil to keep you full, while the nutrients and fats in nuts can improve cognition and shield cell membranes from free radical damage, helping slow mental decline.

Cacao: Packed with brain-boosting compounds, including flavonoids, caffeine and antioxidants which can help enhance memory, aid in mental performance, and even boost your mood!

Flax: High in magnesium, B-vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids, and fiber, which makes them great for mental clarity and focus.

How to Make It


Plain Greek yogurt

Your favorite Ona bar or cookie, chopped into bite-size pieces (we used a Chocolate Ona Bar)

Cacao nibs (or cacao powder can be sprinkled on top)

A handful of dark colored berries, such as blueberries, blackberries, or raspberries (frozen or fresh)

1 tbsp ground flax seed


Add yogurt to a bowl and top with all other ingredients. Enjoy!
