Sometimes kitchen work can be long, monotonous, and boring. But if you want to make large amounts of meals or preserve food for the winter sometimes you have to put in long shifts. This past fall we bought a bunch of peaches and one night I noticed them getting ready to spoil so that meant an impromptu spontaneous long kitchen session late at night.
I was cutting peaches for almost 2 hours. But it was worth it. We pull them out sometimes to make smoothies or frozen fruit ice cream. The frozen fruit ice cream is just frozen fruit, coconut milk, vanilla extract, and honey if you want it really sweet. I just put all the liquids in the blender and then add fruit until it is the consistency that I want. Sometimes i overdue the fruit and need to add a little water to the mix. It should look and taste like a sorbet!
